The Supriya Ritwik Benevolent Foundation (SRBF) is a charitable trust dedicated to empowering underprivileged meritorious students by providing financial support for their higher education aspirations.
At SRBF, we firmly believe that every bright mind deserves the opportunity to thrive. Unfortunately, countless deserving students are unable to pursue their academic dreams due to financial constraints. Through our merit-based scholarship program, we aim to bridge this gap, unlock their true potential, and enable them to achieve their ambitions—contributing to a brighter future for themselves and our nation.
Founded by Krishnendu Nandy and co-founded by Nilanjana Banerjee, our vision is to create a world where quality education is not a privilege but a fundamental right. We are driven by the mission to transform lives through the power of education. We believe that education is a catalyst for breaking the cycle of poverty, empowering individuals, and fostering a more equitable and inclusive society.
Our mission extends beyond financial assistance to fostering a supportive and nurturing community. We offer mentorship programs, career counselling, and networking opportunities to guide our beneficiaries throughout their educational journey. Our aim is to empower them with not only academic excellence but also the skills, confidence, and values necessary to excel in their chosen fields. Instilling a strong value system in our beneficiaries remains a core focus of our efforts.

Krishnendu Nandy- Founder & Director
A retired Finance and Legal professional, served for over 33 years in the Tata Group. In his last assignment, he was designated as CFO & Finance Director in a Joint Venture Company in African continent.
He is an investor and a philanthropist having multidimensional exposure spread across various sectors in India and abroad.
He has embarked to create foundation for educational purposes with the belief that education is a fundamental right which should not be limited by the socio-economic status. Education is an empowerment which can transform the life of student who in turn can uplift society.

Conditions

The scholarship is open for Indian Citizens who come from financially weak backgrounds.

Girl students who have got above 85% and boys above 90% in Class X and XII respectively may apply for this scholarship.

Family Annual Income should be less than 3 Lac.

Preference shall be given to students studying in Government / Reputed Schools and Colleges

While the foundation’s support is broad based Preference shall be given to students for pursuing Professional Courses - MBBS , Engineering, Law, Chartered Accountancy and likewise

Candidate Selection will be based on a comprehensive screening and interview process.

Continuous education evaluation shall be conducted for selected candidates.

No cash will be given to candidates. Cheque / DD will be made in the name of the educational Institutes.

Application may be rejected without assigning any reason

Unless students are from far locations, students shall be present at office for discussion, in the event they are called for specific purposes.

Nilanjana Banerjee- Co Founder & Director
She is the co-founder of this educational charitable organization. With an illustrious corporate career spanning over 30 years in marketing and her invaluable industry insights, coupled with a passion for education, have driven her to be a certified career counsellor and thus guide and mentor students in making informed career of their choices choices.
As a co-founder along with her husband Mr.Krishnendu Nandy brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of deserving underprivileged students. Her dedication to philanthropy and her vision for an inclusive and equitable education system have been instrumental in shaping the foundation mission.
Application Letter
Submit a handwritten application stating why you need the scholarship and cannot pay fees. Provide family details, including each member’s name and annual income.
Recommendation Letter
Include a recommendation letter from your teacher or principal endorsing your scholarship application.
Proof of Admission
Proof of admission and an enrolment letter, along with documents showing the course's annual fee, must be attached.
Income Proof
Attach an income certificate, salary slip from employer, or parents’ Income Tax Return copy along with the application.
Academic Records
Submit attested mark sheets from Class X, XII, college, or university, as applicable. Include all relevant documents available.
Additional Documents
Any additional documents requested by the Foundation should also be submitted with the application.
